Introduction
TechNoma Group operates the DocTrans service. This Privacy Policy describes what information TechNoma Group collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. TechNoma Group respects your privacy and aims to handle your data with the minimum footprint possible.
Information TechNoma Group Collects
Files you upload
When you use the Service, you upload PDF documents. These documents are processed in memory for the purpose of translation only. TechNoma Group does not store your uploaded files on its servers, in any database, or in any persistent storage. The file is sent to TechNoma Group's AI translation provider, processed, and then discarded.
Payment information
All payments are processed by TechNoma Group's payment provider, Paddle. TechNoma Group does not receive or store your full credit card number, CVC, or bank details. Paddle provides TechNoma Group with a transaction ID and the amount paid.
Basic web logs
Like most websites, TechNoma Group's servers may automatically log IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained for a short period and are not linked to your translation content.
How TechNoma Group Uses Information
- To provide and operate the translation service
- To process payments through Paddle
- To detect abuse and fraud
- To respond to support requests you send to TechNoma Group
Third-Party Services
To deliver the Service, TechNoma Group relies on:
- Anthropic (Claude API)— Your document is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for OCR and translation. Anthropic processes the request according to their privacy policy. Anthropic does not train on API data by default.
- Paddle — Handles all payment processing. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and handles billing data per their privacy policy.
- Vercel — Hosts the web application. May process basic request logs.
Data Retention
Uploaded files are not retained. They exist in memory only for the duration of the translation request — typically a few minutes — and are discarded immediately after the response is returned to you. TechNoma Group does not keep a copy.
Your Rights
Because TechNoma Group does not store your translation content, there is nothing to request, download, or delete on TechNoma Group's side. For payment-related data, you may exercise your rights (access, deletion, etc.) directly through Paddle. For any other privacy concerns, contact TechNoma Group.
Cookies
TechNoma Group uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for the Service to function (such as session and CSRF protection). The Paddle checkout overlay may set its own cookies for payment processing.
Security
TechNoma Group uses HTTPS for all connections. Uploaded files are transmitted to the AI provider over encrypted channels. While TechNoma Group takes reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
DocTrans is not directed to children under 16. TechNoma Group does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
TechNoma Group may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes.
